Gold plating is a finish, not a material. Treated well, it will last. To extend its life:
– Apply lotions, perfume, and sunscreen before putting the ring on
– Remove before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping
– Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear — never use silver polish (it strips gold)
– Store dry, away from other jewellery, ideally in a pouch
